Just about Special Forces VIPS

Sunday has become my new favorite day for TV. Okay, Expeditie Robinson has now ended (go Robbert!), but we are still treated to a new episode of De Verraders every week and since this Sunday also of Special Forces VIPS. And I really need to talk to you about that last one. Because holy shit, this is intense. Attention: there are some spoilers coming here from the first two episodes.
During the first episode, some people already dropped out and during the second as well. I was watching in disbelief: why do people do this? Really incredibly impressive, but so unbelievably tough. Physically, but also mentally. In the first two episodes, several people already dropped out, including newsreader Hannelore Zwitserlood. She literally made a false start: the participants had to jump into the water from a helicopter and she landed really badly. And yet she continued until she really couldn't anymore. You might think: how bad can such a splash in the water be? Well, just check the photo below. Quite bad, actually.

Ten celebrities entered the competition, but several have already dropped out. Among others, Dave Roelvink, Gaby Blaaser, Tim Haars, and Giel Beelen are still participating. And the latter really got it hard in the second episode. It was said that he was lacking in commitment, wasn't good at leading, and managed to smuggle cigarettes (and of course smoke them in front of their officers).
Even though I absolutely do not understand why you would want to do this to yourself, I find it really cool to watch. And so impressive that those celebrities just keep pushing through. I don't think I would have even jumped out of that helicopter, I fear. Just bring me back. Not for me.
By the way, if you also watched in amazement and fascination and don't want to wait until next Sunday, then check out Kamp Van Koningsbrugge or Kamp Waes. Not with celebrities (except for Jeroen van Koningsbrugge and Tom Waes), but at least just as cool.
