The 10 most beautiful beaches of Ibiza

The 10 most beautiful beaches of Ibiza

It was about ten years ago that I first set foot on the island. We can call this trip a celebration, as I am leaving in a few days for Ibizaaaa. Red, orange, green; the colors change like a traffic light but now it's okay. Fully vaccinated with the right forms, app, and QR code, I step onto the plane. With a nice, very nice company: my mother. Next year I will turn thirty (oh dear, how fast it goes), so we are busy checking off this nice list. Our plan? Lying as horizontally as possible on the beach. Okay okay, we will of course also go into the city and eat a lot of delicious food, but the goal is mainly to find the nicest spots the island has to offer. Up early and safely enjoying the sun with SPF 50+ on our bodies. We are staying in a perfect place: the newly opened W Ibiza Hotel. The hotel is located on a lovely beach, close to a super cozy boulevard and nice restaurants, so you can definitely spot us there. I have gathered the spots that are high on our list for you. We certainly won't be bored. And one thing I know for sure: this is going to be a vacation to never forget. Ibiza, here we comeeeee!

Es Torrent
A fairly quiet little beach and lovely to spend the whole day on a sunbed, just make sure to reserve this. From your sunbed, you can order food and drinks from the only restaurant that can be found there. Perfect, right?

Santa Eulalia
This is the beach right across from the W Ibiza Hotel where we are staying, you just have to cross the boulevard. Usually, it is quite calm there and because the coastline is quite long but not very wide, you are always near the sea, which personally makes me very happy. At Chiringuito Blue you can rent lovely sunbeds and if you are staying at the hotel, then you are lucky because you can just plop down there, isn't that a luxury? Be sure to take a look at the menu. They only use local and organic products there, and you can taste that immediately. Already looking forward to eating there.

Es Bol Nou
This beautiful beach is very small and lies between the colored cliffs. Be sure to climb up and discover various old bunkers from World War II and other ruins. You can also enjoy delicious food at the restaurant Sa Caleta.

Playa de Ses Salines and then to Beso Beach
If you love the boho Ibiza style, this is the place to be. There is always a super nice atmosphere here and you will find a lovely beach. Don't forget to reserve for lunch at the beach bar that is a bit higher than the beach, so you have a nice view over the sea. If you like peace, you might not want to stay here all day, because after a while, lovely Ibiza music is played.

Cala Xarraca
This little bay is hidden behind the high cliffs. It is a small beach, so be sure to go early for a nice spot. If you love diving and snorkeling, this spot is a must because the water is super clear. One downside: it is a kind of half pebble beach, so it might be a bit less comfortable on your towel and the sunbeds are limited in availability.

Caló Des Moltons
Despite the fact that Ibiza is quite busy, this is still one of the beaches where it is often wonderfully quiet. It has a small and cozy beach bar and is very well known for its delicious sardines. By the way, you park at the harbor, then walk down a fairly narrow path on the left side of the coast towards the sea.

Cala d’en Serra
For all early birds: go here. The beach is located in the north of Ibiza; by the end of the day, there is almost no sun left here. Don't go there in your flip-flops, as it is a steep walk down to get to the beach. Once you are there, you will immediately understand why this beach has been declared one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe.

Cala Olivera
Here you can really still lie among the locals and I love that. No loud music or large groups, it is still nice and quiet here. You will find this lovely beach on the east side of Ibiza. This summer, a beach tent has opened, which means it might not be so local anymore, so if you are in the area: be sure to go there now.

Cala Mastella
Another beach where you don't have to jump over towels to get to the sea. The atmosphere here is also cozy and pleasant, especially around lunchtime. You can have a lovely lunch at El Bigotes, but you must reserve well in advance. If you don't like fish, then you are not in the right place, as that is the only thing they serve. It is an ideal beach if you are alone or with just two people.

Punta Galera
This is a bay between the high cliffs; you are not lying on a sandy beach here but on flat rocks. There are also no beds, umbrellas, or a restaurant, so bring your own stuff. Why should you go here? The view is so beautiful and if you like to be photographed, golden hour is at its best here. Or go very early at sunrise: the likes will definitely come in.
