The day after brunch: the best moment of your weekend

The day after brunch: the best moment of your weekend

Every year I gather my three girlfriends for a night away. A Head of Trip is appointed who meticulously plans everything. Who gets on where along the way, our estimated time of arrival, what our first pitstop is, how much shopping time we have until the drinks, but most importantly: the brunch on the day after our night away.

Our brunch is sacred, for a reason. It is the moment when you have long passed the small talk and only need to pick up the embarrassing things from the night before. With a bit of luck, you are a little groggy from the short night, which allows you to perfectly capture the funny combination of silly and goofy. It’s a recipe for uncontrollable laughter, love, and reminiscing. Now, I happen to know another recipe to enhance that recipe: a Disaronno Fizz to toast with.

Take some Disaronno, add some refreshing ice, top it off with some nice sparkling soda water, a splash of fresh lemon juice, and you have a pick-me-up that you day after brunch will only enjoy more. With such a well-filled glass, it’s only going to be more fun to laugh about that wrong pub where you accidentally ended up.

To make your brunch easier, I’ll give you a shopping list. You only need to gather the ingredients for that brunch.

What you need for a delicious Disaronno Fizz:

45 ml Disaronno
Soda or sparkling water
Fresh lemon juice

How to make it:
Fill the glass generously with ice, add the Disaronno, top off with sparkling water and a few drops of lime juice. Stir gently and voilà. To finish it off, the peel of the lemon looks very festive in your glass.

What are you waiting for? Pop up your brunch. Cheers!
