The most popular meal of the Mac

The most popular meal of the Mac

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: the most popular item on the McDonald’s menu.

I often forget that people sometimes go to McDonald’s and then don’t order a Big Mac, but a Filet-O-Fish or something weird like that. I really don’t understand that at all. The Mac is truly my guilty pleasure so I want to enjoy it to the fullest when I’m there again and that is very clear to me: with a Big Mac. If I wouldn’t gain a single gram and the golden M would be healthy, I would obviously order a Quarter Pounder and another portion of chicken nuggets. And of course, I’ll take the meal, right.

It turns out that not everyone is looking forward to that Big Mac. In fact, it’s not even the most popular item on the entire menu.

Fries before guys
The absolute most popular are the fries. Yes, actually quite logical: they are of course included with every meal AND they are just super tasty. Not too crispy (let’s just say limp), deliciously salty and that flavor… Yes, I really think these fries (with that fry sauce from the Mac of course) are top-notch.

It gets even better: the fries have always been the most ordered item on the menu. So that Big Mac, those chicken nuggets, whatever item it is has never dethroned them… And a survey also showed that the fries receive the fewest complaints. In other words: they are the most ordered, but people are also the most satisfied with them. They’re doing well there, at the Mac.

Undisputed number one
‘Radio broadcast my pick for the best thing on the McDonald’s menu’ was the verdict after the entire menu was tested (why wasn’t I asked for this?). By the way, not only McDonald’s lovers are fans of the fries: their fries were placed second in a competition among many different American fries. Of all the chains, there is only one that serves better fries: the curly fries (love it!) from Arby’s, and we don’t have that here – so shall we just acknowledge the Mac as number one?
