The new TV season is opening

On Monday, the red carpet will be rolled out and the champagne uncorked, as the new TV season will then be officially opened. And that means more than just RTL4 programming Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden again. A lot is going to happen.

1. Bye Humberto, welcome back Eva
Humberto Tan took over the talk show baton from Beau van Erven Dorens, who had taken it from the slender hands of Eva, and thus on Monday a particularly well-rested, brimming with enthusiasm Eva Jinek will take her place at the talk show table. Correction: already on Sunday. Because Humberto continues to make the Sunday broadcasts and otherwise he would have to work six days this whole week, Eva generously offered to take that Sunday as well. And she does so with a very special broadcast, so I would say: watch.

2. Johnny gets a talk show
Yes, he dares so he does. Every weekday at 7:30 PM on SBS under the name HLF8. Is that an original title? Mwah, but it speaks in Johnny's favor that he doesn't immediately plaster his own name in the logo, so let's please not say in advance that it's all nothing.

3. Expeditie Robinson
Watching Expeditie Robinson twice a week, which this time was filmed in Croatia. Stefano Keizers, Eva van de Wijdeven, and former professional footballer Jan van Halst will peel off a few layers every week, both from the body and from the polished layer of civilization. Every Sunday at 8:00 PM and Thursday at 8:30 PM on RTL 4.

4. Chateau Meiland
I really missed them. After the overdose we were administered in the first part of this year, an abrupt, complete Meiland stop was almost inhumane. As a result, half of the Netherlands made pilgrimage trips to Noordwijk. But they are back and (is this a new TV law or something?) also twice a week. Every Monday and Thursday at 8:30 PM on SBS. I’m not complaining.

5. Khalid and Sophie
Do you remember just before the summer when those sympathetic Fidan Ekiz and Renze Klamer were, whoops, suddenly put out with the bulk waste? And that their successors were already ready? The communication department could use some extra lessons in my opinion because everyone knows you start with: ‘We have decided in good consultation’, so you still give your presenters a bit of credit, after which you wait two weeks and then come up with your new duo. This was unmanageable for Fidan and Renze (they felt like friends right away), but with this they also gave successors Sophie Hilbrand and Khalid Kasem an unpleasant disadvantage, because they certainly didn't get the sympathy vote while they can't do anything about it either. Anyway. On Monday they will be there. We know Sophie of course and Khalid seems to me a lovely, smart, and entertaining man. On NPO 1, from Monday to Friday.

Netflix is heading for a quiet period, because my motto from Monday is: linear TV, olé olé.
