The secret treatment for beautiful, shiny, and healthy hair
A little nervous, I hopped on my bike towards Laura Zeeuwen's salon. She is known for her own collection of hair extensions and supplements, and they are oh so beautiful — just check out her Instagram: you'll fall in love immediately. But that healthy tension came from Hollywood's biggest and most famous hair treatment expert: the one and only Philip B. He would be present. I've known his products for a long time; in my teenage years, I always received a shampoo from his collection as a gift. So getting a treatment from him is extra special for me, and the treatment was genuinely magical.
Philip B is known for completely cleansing, healthy, and vitalizing your hair, making it as smooth as it should be and the color more beautiful than ever. We often put products in our hair that weigh it down, causing it to hang quickly and thus miss volume. By cleansing your hair with the right ingredients, you will get that volume back one hundred percent. And no matter how long or short your hair is, the roots to the tips must all be equally healthy, and his famous products ensure that. So there I was in his chair. His critical eyes burned in my head because: how neglected is my hair from coloring and all the products I use daily? Fortunately, it wasn't too bad, he said, but it could be more beautiful. Well, here we go.

The oil felt quite warm on my head, but that's how it should be, so I shouldn't be shocked: the older and more vulnerable your scalp, the warmer it gets. That was quite an experience, and that was just the beginning. Then he applied another oil; not on my scalp, but on the rest of my hair. To nourish those dry strands extra, he used the hairdryer to warm the oil, making it nourish my hair even better. He called it ‘his famous hot oil treatment’. After that, he cleansed all the oil with his bestselling shampoo, the Peppermint Avocado Shampoo, a scrub for my scalp, and a conditioner for my ends. Before the towel was wrapped around my hair, he sprayed an interesting mist in my hair, namely the Detangling Toning Mist.
I don't know how it is with your hair, but when I wash my hair, there are always quite a few knots in it, and it's anything but manageable. It doesn't matter which shampoo or conditioner I use; I always have those annoying tangles. That's due to the water, as water has too high a pH level that your hair doesn't like very much. Once that pH level drops, the tangles often disappear again. How do you lower that pH level? By removing the moisture from your hair by drying it, but it should be possible to do it differently, right? Philip thought so too, and he developed a mist that lowers the pH level in no time. I'll believe it when I see it, I thought, so the spray went in, and sure enough, the comb went right through. I wish I had known this years ago with my thick long hair. Lastly, a protective spray against the heat of the hairdryer and as the cherry on top, a Weightless conditioner, and my hair has literally never felt this way. At least, I can't remember: so clean, smooth, soft, and shiny. And my color? It looks like I've had highlights done; I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm in love with my hair again and with Philip B.
