These celebrity kids are real troublemakers

Earlier this week, I saw Chet Hanks in the news again, and every time I see that name, I immediately think: why would you name your child Chet? The parents of Chet Hanks, namely Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, don't know either, because they named him Chester Marlon Hanks. ‘Chet’ is thus a nickname he gave himself (and he prefers to spell his last name as ‘Hanx’), and that's the least remarkable thing about this son of famous parents. He is often not really positive in the news. That's why I thought it was time for a list of problem children – of famous parents, of course. You can already guess number one.

1. Chet Hanks (son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson)

TMZ released a video last week showing a bloodied Chet Hanks, apparently after a fight with his now ex-girlfriend. She also accuses him of being violent and filed for a restraining order against him in January. Those are not the only problems for Chet: at 16, he developed a drug addiction and posted remarkable messages and videos in which he frequently uses the N-word. A handful for his parents, that's for sure.

2. Presley Gerber (son of Cindy Crawford)

Do you really belong to the Hollywood elite if you've never had a DUI (driving under the influence) charge? No, right? Cindy Crawford's son, Presley, was 19 when he was arrested in Beverly Hills. Their daughter Kaia has a somewhat better image, although she ran off with Pete Davidson. Not the good influence her parents would have preferred, if we are to believe the rumors.

3. Bobbi Kristina Brown (daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown)

I still find it a bizarre story what happened to Whitney and her daughter Bobbi Kristina. Her family now publicly accuses Nick Gordon of being responsible for both of their deaths. That relationship is also so bizarre: he was like a brother to Bobbi Kristina before their relationship, as he lived with them from a young age. And that was apparently a household full of addictions and drugs. So sad.

4. Jaycee Chan (son of Jackie Chan)

Drugs in Asia are an absolute no-go, everyone knows that. So when Jackie Chan's son, Jaycee, was caught with more than a hundred grams of marijuana, you know: the shit has hit the fan. Mega awkward since his father is an ambassador for an anti-drug organization. This happened in 2015, and he only received six months in prison; quite mild considering the anti-drug policies in China.

5. Cameron Douglas (son of Michael Douglas)

This one is quite tough: before 2010, he was arrested multiple times for drug-related issues. In that year, he was also caught for dealing crystal meth and received a five-year prison sentence. But things didn't go well in prison either, and after violating several rules, he received two (!) years in solitary confinement, and the length of his sentence was doubled.

6. Charlie Sheen (son of Martin Sheen)

Probably the most famous of the bunch. In fact: I knew Charlie Sheen before Martin Sheen (whom I honestly only know from Grace & Frankie — sorry Apocalypse Now fans). But anyway, his scandals were quite public: drug addictions, accusations that he knowingly had unsafe sex with women while knowing he was HIV positive, and also accusations of domestic violence. Side note: Charlie Sheen's two daughters are being raised by his ex, Denise Richards.
