This video about folding your wrap is going viral

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: the wrap that is going viral on TikTok.
There’s a chance you’ve already come across this hack (because the internet has embraced it as if the first bread-slicing machine has come down from heaven), but darn it, it really is a good one. From now on, you never have to be afraid that scalding hot dripping cheese from the bottom of your wrap will drip onto your bare legs (at least, all the people who sit behind their laptop daily in a Zoom-appropriate blouse and underwear/boxers). Because with this trick, you keep everything neatly folded inside your wrap.
It’s really a trick that shines in its simplicity (we previously wrote about toaster tortillas as one of the TikTok culinary hits of 2020), but for those who don’t know it yet, it’s a real eye-opener:
Here’s how to make the TikTok wrap-or-tortilla hack
You take a wrap or tortilla and four ingredients; for a savory one, definitely something melty cheesy and for a sweet one, you can go wild with something spreadable like Nutella. Make a cut from the bottom edge of the tortilla straight to the middle. Divide the four ingredients each over their own quarter. Now fold the bottom left quarter closed and up, then turn a quarter turn to the right and another quarter turn down. Place the folded package in a hot frying pan or in a sandwich maker or contact grill, cook until the outsides are nice and golden brown and the inside is warm and melted. Unbelievably delicious, and unbelievably simple.
From savory with cheese to sweet with Nutella
Sure, a savory version with cheese is just a quesadilla variant but without open edges on the sides where everything drips out, and you can completely decide what you want on it. I made one with sauerkraut, ham, grated Appenzeller® cheese and spinach and it was gone before a camera could even come into play. We’ve also seen them (of course) come by Mexican-style with cheese, jalapeños, black beans, guacamole, and tomato; vegan with mushrooms, vegan cheese, za’atar oil, and chopped nuts, and sweet with (white!) Nutella, banana, strawberry, and peanut butter. You do you! It is advisable to use good quality soft tortillas. You don’t want them to tear, or have that dusty stale factory taste. And, what do you think, are you going to join in on this hype? We believe you won’t regret it.
