Vandaag eten we groene keuken

A few years ago, I was really a diehard carnivore. The more meat, the better. A day of vegetarian? I don't think so. But even I am keeping up with the times: I've come a bit back from that. I really had a hard time believing that vegetarian could actually be tasty. When I was twelve, I lived as a vegetarian for two years and it was really no fun. The meat substitutes back then were just dry vegetable burgers or a cheese schnitzel. Never again, I thought then, and I could almost cry with happiness at my first meatball afterwards.

But times change, because I have now tasted a meatball that I would swear was one with meat. But no: completely vegetarian. Seriously, I was really amazed: it was really delicious. It was those from Green Cuisine, which I wasn't familiar with yet but am now a big fan of. Besides these meatballs-but-then-vegetarian, they also have vegetarian crispy chicken fillet, which again is indistinguishable from real. Seriously, how do they do that? Another plus is that these products are not stuffed with soy, because I always find that a bit of a shame.

And if you happen to be in the freezer section, be sure to grab those falafel balls from them as well. You won't regret it.
