When it comes to podcasts, I'm about a year behind schedule, so it took me a while to discover #METZNALLEN the Podcast. But once I got a hold of Gwen van Poorten and her show, I listened to three episodes in a row. The podcast with Thijs Lindhout, the conversation with Kelly Weekers, and the one with happiness professor Meike Bartels. I can say I'm quite a sucker for self-development. I already liked Gwen, but through this show, I like her even more. She is honest, she is open, and she is above all: real. In the conversations with her guests, ranging from Johnny de Mol to a happiness professor, she doesn't shy away from any topic or question. By the way, you can send in questions, because as Gwen herself says, she likes to make the podcast together, because that's better than alone. It's worth listening to.
An extra tip. If you always say that meditation is not for you, then you might want to take a look at what Gwen is going to do starting June 1st. Gwen van Poorten: ‘If you had told me five years ago that I would now start my days on a meditation pouf, I would have laughed at you hard. I start every morning with myself and my breathing, instead of my phone. It started with the need. Because what was I supposed to do with that restlessness in my head? After finding the right technique and endless repetitions, I had a meditation routine that was stuck like gum on the bottom of my shoe. Meditation has turned my life upside down in a positive way. I want to inspire people and show that by taking a moment of silence every day, you can lead a better life. I believe in a down-to-earth, simple approach and I'm sure this is meant for everyone. That's why I set up #METZNALLENmediteren.’
Today the ticket sales for #METZNALLENmediteren start. I always said it was not for me, until I started in November and believe me: it's great.
