Today we sleep in Flora Batava

A brand new hotel on the Vecht near the cozy Breukelen. Sounds like something I want to stay at right away. It has a view of the water, an interior to drool over, and from a reliable source (our FavorFlavjes) I have heard that restaurant Bloei is dangerously good. What I still need? Nice company, so I invited Kiki to make things unsafe. Hotel Flora Batava is located on the estate Vijverplaats (the Vecht region is bursting with the most beautiful estates, so: tip) and the first owner in 1670 was Agnes Block. Fun fact: Agnes was the first botanist to successfully cultivate a pineapple plant in our soil. Just this alone makes it worth staying. Also nice is the nod to the pineapple in the logo. Flora Batava was used for years by the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, but is now continuing as a hotel with 45 incredibly beautiful suites and rooms. One thing I know for sure: this is the most fun new addition between Amsterdam and Utrecht. See you there?
