Normal people go to the beach in the summer, I prefer to do that in the Netherlands when I have to zip up a jacket to my nose. Tomorrow the temperature will drop rapidly, so I'm heading towards the sea. Blowing off steam at the beach, having food delivered to the hotel room (really cozy) and walking. My friend even ordered a raincoat (?) for when it rains while walking. He apparently has the idea that I'm going to walk in the rain, so I just let him believe that. We all know of course that I'll be sitting in the bar until they sweep me outside and in the evening I'll be binge-watching Netflix. The requirement is that you book a somewhat nice hotel. I'm staying at Hotel Amerika, where the huge ships used to depart for the USA, in Hoek van Holland. Extra fun, because I actually never go there. Already looking forward to wandering over the beach and the dunes, watching ships sail out and then warming up inside. Just a tip, because at the beach it's just really nice every season.
