Suddenly, I find myself on Texel a lot, which happens when family decides to live and work there. I must admit that it's not a punishment to occasionally take the boat and cross over. You immediately dive into island life. It's beautiful, cozy, just a bit slower and more relaxed. The last time I was there, we went for a long evening of dining at ’t Pakhuus in Oudeschild by the harbor. To ensure we would be well-fed before heading to the hotel, we chose the six-course dinner. Every course was divine, every staff member equally friendly, every wine perfectly chosen, and I wasn't even stuffed. It was just next level delicious. Also a recommendation for those who eat vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free by the way. The team makes sure you eat at least as deliciously or maybe even a little better.
