What did we think of Sander Lantinga's comments?

Because Jan Smit went on stage and joined Chantal Janzen, Nikkie Tutorials, and Edsilia Rombley, the chair next to Cornald Maas became available and a sidekick was sought. Sander Lantinga raised his hand and shouted: ‘Can I? Can I?’ because he turned out to be a fan of the Eurovision spectacle for thirty years and has that brick on the gas pedal when it comes to quick remarks.
His comments will not soon receive the stamp of objective or understated. It went from ‘She sounds like she still has constipation from the Bami Rames from last night’ to ‘I have a lump in my throat, but it turned out to be vomit’. I initially chuckled at it because the entries that received these remarks were certainly not at the level of Johnny Logan or Duncan Laurence, but when I visited Twitter and typed in #sanderlantinga, I did see a lot of outrage.
We are the host country, he belongs to the official channel and is not a free spirit tweeting from his own name and burning people from that position who, no matter how miserable it may sometimes be, are still doing their best there.
And I find (madam-you-can-of-course-look-at-it-that-way) quite a lot to say about that too. Maybe Sander should occasionally sprinkle in a relativizing remark and add a dash of self-deprecation, and also prepare a few of those ready-made one-liners that praise someone to the skies. Setting fire is simply easier than extinguishing, but I am sure that Sander will be able to do that, perhaps with some help from Maestro Maas on the left.
