Why going to Zeeland is a great idea

When we moved from Utrecht to Zeeland a long time ago, everyone thought we were completely crazy. My mother countered it with a delightful "It's so lovely close to Paris" and I only thought about my pony that could stand in the backyard and my brother who surfed every day in the Oosterschelde. to Zeeland Meanwhile, Zeeland is super hot and it's a va et viens of hipsters who head south for a weekend or so. I get to go to Oasis Punt-West in Ouddorp next week and I can tell you: I am intensely looking forward to it. Not in Zeeland, I know, Adeline already gave me a corrective South Holland slap, but still 3000 steps away. Zeeland is fun and cool and here's why.
1. The chefs.
, Syrco Bakker (Pure C), Nick Bril (The Jane), Jannis Brevet (Inter Scaldis), Edwin Vinke (De Kromme Watergang); all culinary geniuses with a love for all things local.
Sergio Herman,2. The sun, the sun!.
Zeeland doesn't have the most hours of sunshine (that belongs to Den Helder), but it is the sunniest province. How is that possible? Between the Ooster- and Westerschelde, you won't find any cumulus clouds and therefore you can enjoy the sun undisturbed.
3. The beaches.
They are so rarely long and beautiful.
4. All the lovely little towns.
Veere, Domburg, Zierikzee, Middelburg, Goes; you step right into a postcard.
5. The food.
And it doesn't even have to be at one of the aforementioned gentlemen's places. An oyster, a mussel pot; freshly caught, it's quickly good.
6. The nature.
The dunes, the dikes, the apple orchards, the Veerse Meer, the Grevelingenmeer, the Zak van Zuid-Beveland, the boulevard of Vlissingen… Pumping air into those tires and go. With a sip of locally produced Hierbas de las Dunas.
7. So many nice hotels.
Like Oasis Punt-West, just one dam length away from the Zeeland border, but also Oesterdam Resort or Roompot Vakantiepark (where the incredibly fun movie Dik Trom was filmed).
So, shall I see you there?.
