Lost your Mojo? Here's how to find it again

She was gone for a moment. Vanished. Took off. Playing hide and seek. Every day looked the same, my mood was ‘okay-ish’ and my writing flow? Actually gone too. In summary, my mojo was missing.
What? Mojo, yes. A broad concept that is hard to define. You could see it as your inner strength, your confidence, or your ‘sparkle’. Mojo is literally a combination of MO-tivation and JO-y. When you are motivated and doing what you love, you radiate positive energy. That is your mojo. Unfortunately, that little rascal sometimes slips out of your sight. You usually know exactly when this happens. Everything then goes a bit more sluggishly. You start eating unhealthily, feel constantly ‘busy’, fall behind on things, and sometimes even lose the joy in your work.
Is it all a drama that it's just a bit lost? Not at all, it's completely human. More importantly: how do we get it back? Well, that's just something to train.
Step 1: Go into nature
Especially now with your spring vibes and the birds chirping. As airy as this may sound: connect with it. Go outside, go for a walk, garden, stargaze, and feel how you are part of nature.
Step 2: Start with simple things
To become a bit more productive again, it's important to set some achievable goals for yourself. Today I will immediately shower and get dressed when I wake up. After that, I will fold the laundry. Sounds almost ridiculous, I know, but the important thing about these goals is that you recognize that feeling of satisfaction when a mini-task is completed.
Step 3: Tidy up something ‘bigger’
It doesn't matter what it is. Your wardrobe, your attic, your shed; something to cultivate a sense of pride in yourself. This way, you create a success in your day, and it is exactly that feeling of pride that you want to cultivate in yourself.
Step 3: Discover something new
Deliberately do things differently than you always do. If you are right-handed, try doing all sorts of things with your left hand. Or vice versa. Sign up for that online course, do something crazy. Try taking a different route during your walk. Everything that is new in your life stimulates. It literally shakes you loose from your daily routine.
Step 4: Study your heroes
How do all those successful people do it? Bursting with energy? First of all, it's cool to think: they too have lost their mojo at times. Do you get happy from someone's energy? Then try to learn from that person. Ask that sporty friend to work out together. Let that plant expert take a look at your administration. Don't let yourself be held back when you want to ask others about their tactics.
Step 5: Create something
A super delicious date cake, a mosaic table in the garden, or a card with all the reasons why-I-love-you for your mom; by creating something with yourself from yourself, you stimulate your creativity.
And well damn, what is that coming towards us in the distance? Mojo?? So there you are! I had lost you. Shall we become a team again? Looking forward to it.
