One of the nicest things to do on a Sunday, I think, is a high tea. Often I'm a bit hungover, but at the same time, I also get really sad about drowning in self-pity all day because of that hangover. So what's better than catching up with friends, with delicious food, different types of tea (I really love tea), and let's be honest: a glass of champagne.

Now the people around me know that I'm not really a morning person. Okay, okay, I'm not that at all. The times I've canceled on my Amayzine colleague in the morning because we ’were really going to work out‘ are countless. So on my free Sunday, I don't have to meet early, and that's why I've now found my ideal activity: the Afternoon Tea at the Krasnapolsky Hotel in Amsterdam. They have a collaboration with jewelry brand LOTT. until September, so you'll see a lot of their new collection in the three courses. Their new collection is beautiful anyway; you can admire everything in the display case upon entering. It's also a bit dangerous because now I want everything.

The Krasnapolsky Hotel is of course already a real institution, but that food... People, that food. So delicious. The first course consisted of savory bites, from steak tartare to octopus ceviche. Really special dishes and super tasty. We were told beforehand that they made everything from scratch at the Krasnapolsky Hotel, and because of that, I was even more impressed by course number two: the scones. With jam, clotted cream, and delicious lemon curd. I was genuinely glad I hadn't had breakfast because it's really quite a lot, and if I find something really tasty, I can't stop eating.

Not having breakfast also came in handy for the last course: the sweets. Meine gute, this was so much and intensely delicious. If you love pastries and sweets, this Afternoon Tea is definitely a recommendation.
