From this age, alcohol is good for your health

From this age, alcohol is good for your health

The week has flown by and that means we can raise a glass to the weekend tonight. YES. After all, nothing is better than ending the week with a lovely glass of wine. Of course in moderation, because we all know that alcohol is not beneficial for our health. Not that I have ever let that stop me, but I think it's polite to mention it.

Well, I don't want to dampen the fun too much, and therefore I also have good news. At least, for the older ones among us; the 40-plus crowd to be precise. But don't worry, for everyone under 40, I also have a nice prospect. Research shows that alcohol is indeed good for your health. PARTY. Well, as long as you are over 40. And then one glass a day. A glass of wine a day keeps the doctor away.

Research has shown that alcohol is particularly harmful to the health of people under 40: those older than this age can actually benefit from a glass of wine a day. This specifically refers to red wine, which can lower the risk of strokes, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. In other words: the older you are, the smaller that risk becomes thanks to that red wine.

I hear you thinking: and what about me? Me, who hasn't even hit forty yet? Unfortunately: for us, it is still really bad to drink alcohol. Still, this is at least a reason to look forward to your fortieth birthday. With this thought, I will enjoy my glass of wine tonight, because one day I will do well.

Finally, just a small warning from the scientists: this outcome does not apply to people with underlying health problems.

Have a nice weekend!
