BACHELOR BABBELS

Yesterday was Wednesday again and that of course means Bachelor day. No idea how many people had a hangover from last week's drinking game, but we're just going to continue this time. Maybe I'll wait until the weekend to look back, because otherwise I really won't get out of bed in the morning. The predictions were a bit too accurate so there were a bit too many shots. This episode won't be any different, right? Joejoeee.

1. The setting: Mexico. 30 plus degrees. Beach weather. Looking for some coolness. Thomas: ‘Let me wear my all black outfit today.’

2. Even better: ‘Let me make those girls work out in my black outfit.’

3. Maureen hasn't worked out in so long that she thinks you can be predisposed to sports instead of having a talent for it. Honestly: same.

4. SHOT. Romy wants to show herself again. Yeah sorry, we're just keeping that drinking game in.

5. Just a moment about that flashback. Romy saying she ‘doesn't want to make it heavy’, after which she says she felt she had nothing to contribute to life. That's really the equivalent of ‘not meant to be rude, but...’? Medium suitable moment.

6. Sorry, I've only mentioned the shots from the past nine minutes once because honestly: otherwise you're really already tipsy. Checking in with yourself, spirituality, floating; everything has already come up and we still have 50 minutes to go. Drink in moderation, guys.

7. Okay, okay, okay: I didn't necessarily see a spark between Thomas and Inge coming right away, but I feel it immediately. Actually, I kind of forgot Inge was even there, but hopefully she'll get a bit more screen time now. The seed has been planted.

8. Ah, it's time for a productionally set up conversation again. This time it's Romy and Indigo's turn and you won't believe it, but Indigo interrupts Romy during her spiritual moment. I'm starting to think that these kinds of things are just done on purpose.

9. Just a moment of appreciation for Thomas, because I am really positively surprised by him. With Tony Jr. it was immediately clear who he found attractive, who had a chance, and who he had no interest in at all, but I have the feeling that Thomas really wants to get to know the girls and that their personality plays a huge role instead of just their looks. Plus points for Thomas.

10. Yes, I am also quite #teamlinde so go get ‘em. Apply that sunscreen on the back. Make it sensual.

11. I don't know her personally, but now that I see she's calmly snacking while Thomas arrives at the cocktail party, I feel like we have a lot in common. Food > men.

12. No, but now I really know for sure that they're doing it on purpose: this text from Romy (‘I know for sure that Thomas and I really belong together’) is a bit odd, but that music underneath... You guys are really doing it for the drama now.

13. Okay, this cocktail party has officially turned into a cringeparty, but that's mainly because Romy has gotten 90 percent of the attention and is talking about the fact that she isn't getting any attention.

14. ‘He's in love, it's over.’ Aiii, I also think that chance is present. Girls, pack your bags. Or stay in Mexico. Just see what you do. Inge and Thomas are meanwhile going on their honeymoon together.

15. Wait, whuuut? Two ladies are going home? Then this is it. Romy exit and I guess exit Frederieke. Oh no: Karen. I completely forgot about her. Romy and Karen. If that's the case, we all have to take four shots. Two for each exit. LET'S GO.

16. Karen and we have dodged a bullet.

17. But honestly: after five weeks of complaining and jokes about Romy, can we honestly admit that we're just going to miss her? This will be a sober week, in the next episode.
