Bachelor Babbels

Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to the episode we have all been eagerly waiting for? It is — drumroll please — the episode with the very first KISS. Yesss, go for it Merel. Secretly, we are all watching this episode mainly for that one romantic moment. The rest can be stolen from me. Finally some passion in the room. Woohoo, let’s goooo.

1. Just a moment about that devastating ‘bye’ from Frederique. Wow, she didn’t handle the departure very smoothly. I’m so curious if this really came out that way or if she was truly speechless. Either way: ouch.

2. Yes guys, we already know that Merel is going to win that movie night. They keep giving us nothing with cliffhangers, and now suddenly too much. It’s never good. But who cares, there’s kissing. FINALLY. Make me geeeek.

3. Great, if that whole kitesurfing day doesn’t go ahead because of the weather. Seems personal to me, but with my balance I shouldn’t even be allowed on a bike.

4. ‘Yes, Maureen is just… Wildly attractive.’ Aah, cute.

5. HAHA. Merel is leaving and the rest: ‘Kisssss. Tongueeee!!’ Yes, you’re laughing now, but I’m curious how it will be received when they hear that it actually happened.

6. Seriously, but even I am a bit nervous for the kiss.

7. The stay-behinds call watching a movie a ‘chill date’. I find watching a movie the epitome of awkwardness. Can you talk during it or not? When do you keep your mouth shut? Am I not breathing too loudly?

8. YAAAAAA. Ho. Was that it? One and a half seconds followed by giggles and a ‘this is very awkward’? Merel, GIRL, we’ve been waiting for six (SIX!) episodes. Get that tongue in there. Hurry up.

9. Thomas is really sweet with his ‘it will happen soon’ though.

10. Rick: ‘As you all know, The Bachelor is seriously looking for true love here.’ You can just see that Rick doesn’t mean this at all.

11. Just something else: can we have a double date with Thomas, Rick, and two of the ladies sometime?

12. How I think the meeting with Thomas and the production went: ‘Okay, you can come up with one more sporty date yourself, but after that you really have to do what we come up with. Deal? Yes? Great. It’s a dance in traditional clothing. Good luck.’

13. Can we take a moment to acknowledge that Anna Noëlle received a wild rose and the production thought: hey! There’s a song for that and then dramatically put the song Wild Rose in the background. The music choices are always so dubious in this show.

14. This is great. In Never Have I Ever you have to take shots (or sips, but we just do shots at home, right?) and that works out well, because regarding the drinking game I thought of a few episodes ago, it’s this episode very tame. Romy, we miss you.

15. Yep, I’m just now realizing that the rose ceremony is on the same night as the cocktail party. You really have to show your backbone each time and not drink too much. Seems quite difficult to me.

16. Shall we make a prediction? Of course. Karen and/or Linde are going home. I hope Linde doesn’t go home, because even though she was a bit tame in her statements today, she can really shine. Is there a connection with Thomas? Nah. Is she funny on TV? Yes. So they stay.

17. Aah, tears from Thomas. Seriously, how much more fun is he than Tony Jr.? Sorry not sorry Tony, but this guy is so much more pleasant and genuine. I’m a fan.

18. Just a point of criticism: in episode 7 we see that Thomas’ lips are ‘touched again’. But what we see… This is not a kiss, right? We want more! Passion. Tongues!
