It's not just doom and gloom, although you might sometimes think so. At least, in recent years I often felt that way, but well, we were also in a significant pandemic. I surely can't be the only one who felt that way. You might almost forget that there are indeed good things happening in the world. Unfortunately, you don't read too much about that in the news, but luckily there's... Yesss: Reddit of course. There the question was asked: ‘What are some good things happening in the world right now?’, and the answers will make you happy.

1. ‘Scientists have discovered a worm that can digest plastic, and they are currently working on copying their digestion system. If that is possible, it would of course do a lot of good for all the plastic.’

2. ‘On the planet Mars, the Mars Rover has succeeded in separating oxygen from carbon dioxide. This could eventually mean that astronauts can actually breathe on Mars.’

3. ‘The cancer drug seems to be becoming more and more of a reality: after a recent experiment in which they treated twelve people with an autoimmune treatment, all twelve are now cancer-free.’

4. ‘A video of a Ukrainian mother went viral, in which she told her son that they would see John Cena, so he would go with her to flee without crying. John Cena heard the story and flew to meet them.’
