OMG: this chocolate bar tastes like croissants

Croissants and chocolate, isn't that a heavenly flavor combination? Such a warm chocolate croissant on a Saturday morning: mmm. And now Crisp has come up with the brilliant idea to launch a chocolate bar that tastes like croissants. Win-win!

Crisp is, just like Picnic for example, an online platform where you can order your groceries. A while ago we already wrote about their SUBLIME baking croissants. These maddeningly delicious butter croissants are filled with AOP butter from the French Charentes-Poitou and are made in Brittany. By baking them at home, they become wonderfully crispy and simply irresistible.

International Croissant Day
And what a brilliant idea: now they have incorporated the Crisp butter croissants, especially for International Croissant Day on January 30, into a chocolate bar. Partner in crime: the chocolatiers from Urban Cacao in Amsterdam.

Subtle crispiness
Chocolatier Hans Mekking from Urban Cacao is enthusiastic about the new bar: ‘We use a mix of sustainably produced beans from Africa and South America, combined with an extra quality creamy milk powder, which results in a mild and full cocoa blend. The addition of the butter crumb gives the chocolate a subtle crispiness. The croissants are double baked and dried in the Urban oven for this purpose. And you can taste that distinct combination!’
