I used to really want to go here, but it never happened. I still occasionally hold that against my parents, but luckily I now have the chance to see it live: Cirque du Soleil. A name you undoubtedly know, as this Canadian company is world-famous and has been around for quite a few years: it was founded in 1984. They are known for their impressive shows, bizarre tricks, acrobats, and the overall spectacle they manage to create. And yes, good news: they are back in Europe — and are also coming to the Netherlands.
Be quick, because the first show is tomorrow. And they won't be here long: from September 22 to 25, they will be at Rotterdam Ahoy. There are still tickets available, which you can buy via this link, but you need to be quick.
The show they are going to put on here is called Crystal and is a spectacle on ice. Yep, you read that right: this show is done on ice. Really impressive what they are all pulling off there. Personally, I haven't even managed to move properly on skates, but this is a whole different ball game.
My lifelong dream is coming true — I find it seriously a bit exciting, because I always get intensely nervous about these life-threatening stunts — so I couldn't keep this tip from you. This is going to be amazing.
