Last weekend I went on a girls’ trip to London. This amazing city is bursting with beautiful restaurants and cozy bars, so it wasn't very difficult to find a nice spot in the evening. By chance, we discovered a true gem in Mayfair that I can't keep from you. After wandering around this neighborhood, we ended up at the restaurant (and bar) Isabel Mayfair. There were exactly five spots available at the bar, so it was meant to be. The place itself looked beautiful, with a large New Orleans-style bar in the middle and all around it small tables. They serve delicious seasonal dishes and the best (non-standard) cocktails I've ever had. If you ever come here, order the Ruby Diamond, a cocktail that I can't exactly tell you what was in it, but I can tell you it tasted amazing.
But now comes the real surprise of the restaurant. As soon as you're done eating, you can walk downstairs and there's another bar. In this bar, people dance and there's a DJ playing. Super convenient actually: you don't have to look for a club anymore, you just go down a flight of stairs and you arrive at the party. We had a great evening here. I warn you in advance about the bill, but that's unfortunately how it is in London. Therefore, my golden tip is: don't stay longer than a weekend.
