Whut: did Coachella have its own Fyre Festival 2.0?

Unless you've been living under an Instagram rock this weekend, you probably didn't miss that the first weekend of Coachella took place. It's definitely a case of life goals, even if it's just for the lineup. I'm talking about Billie Eilish (I really want to see her live) and... Harry Styles and Shania Twain. Whuut, apparently that's the duo we never knew we needed. What an awesome performance that was.
But at the same time as Coachella, there was also the Revolve Festival. I have to honestly say that I didn't really understand at first why this second festival existed — and I still don't completely believe it — but it boils down to one big marketing stunt by the brand Revolve. However, that didn't go entirely according to plan, as this festival is being referred to everywhere on social media as Fyre Fest 2.0.
For the Revolve Festival, you had to be exclusively invited (some got in for free, others had to still pay 2K with their invitation), but then you got something in return. They promised. In reality, the influencers (because yes, the attendees were 100 percent made up of them) had to wait for hours for a bus that would take them to the venue. Meanwhile, they stood in the scorching heat without water or food and missed performances from, for example, Willow Smith. Yes, indeed: Revolve Festival aka Fyre Fest 2.0 also had a proper lineup.
Several festival-goers shared their stories on social media. They said it even became a dangerous situation because everyone wanted to get on the bus when it finally arrived. Additionally, a witness reported that there was a lot of shouting ‘if they didn't know how important we were’. HAHA. Yeah sorry, I find that pretty funny.

All in all, it doesn't seem like it was really as bad as the original Fyre Fest, but waiting for hours in the blazing sun (and it's pretty intense there) sounds far from ideal. Revolve has also acknowledged that the organizational aspect regarding transport wasn't entirely well arranged. And last but certainly not least, the performance of Harry Styles and Shania Twain. To start your Wednesday off right.
