Proven: couples who travel together have a better sex life

Yesterday I wrote an article about the fugitive millennial who prefers traveling over sex. I found this quite a remarkable outcome, which I can't really agree with. If you ask me, it's quite a lonely existence, hopping from place to place all by yourself. After all, it also reduces the chance of running into your great love.

Personally, I prefer exploring the world together with my beloved. And no, I don't prefer traveling over sex; my preference is for a combination of both. Research shows that couples who travel together have a better sex life. The best of both worlds, if you ask me. The U.S. Travel Association discovered that no less than 77 percent of couples who travel together feel they have a good sex life. Couples who do not travel together were significantly less satisfied, at only 63 percent.

Additionally, it seems that traveling together can breathe new life into your stagnant sex life. For instance, 28 percent of couples found that their sex life improved after their romantic getaway. And to make it even better: 40 percent even felt that the trip led to permanent improvement in their sex life. Isn't that fantastic?

Okay, maybe you don't find the results very surprising, because when you're together on the other side of the world, you naturally have all the time and attention for each other. There's no daily grind and little stress, which increases your desire for sex. Still, I think it's important for couples to be aware of this, especially the fact that your sex life can get a boost from such a trip. Almost one in four couples who didn't travel together in the past year indicated that they had too little time for sex and intimacy. Well, it's high time for a vacation together. And this applies not only to millennials but to every couple, so book that trip soon!
