Netflix tip of the day: Dated and Related

dated and related

Honestly: I had to swallow hard when I saw this title on Netflix. That title is actually quite misleading. For a moment, I was afraid that Netflix was really going in the completely wrong direction, namely that of incest. Are they seriously going to let people who are family date each other? Please, not that, right?

Well... No. Fortunately, that's not it. What it is, is almost just as vulgar and falls into the category of Too Hot To Handle. And we find that more than fine. The idea of this new dating series: brothers and sisters participate in pairs, looking for love.

Brother and sister (or sister and sister or brother and brother) head to a villa where Love Island could learn a thing or two. Their ultimate mission: to find love. But they also have to support their brother or sister in the search for love, because they have the same goal. So you also have to be a wing(wo)man. For your family.

This means they have to support each other during the parties and with the people they are interested in, but they also have to set up blind dates for their brother/sister, so you need to know a bit about what type that should be.

Well, it actually sounds quite promising so far. Okay, it's a bit vulgar and okay, it's pretty weird that all family members have to sleep in the same bed. No, I take that last part back: that's very weird. Just when you want to impress your crush with sexy night lingerie, you have to sit next to your protective brother. Weird.

Maybe I don't sound very positive about this new program, and I'm actually not, but am I going to binge it in one day and complain about it anyway? Oh, absolutely. Ab-so-lutely.
