See: Victoria's Secret documentary on Videoland

In the past, I could really enjoy the Victoria’s Secret fashion shows. It was truly a spectacle every year, with performances by artists like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd. Not the least, so it was a party to watch every time. But in 2019, that came to an abrupt end when it turned out that Victoria’s Secret was not such a party behind the scenes. Moreover, they were not exactly keeping up with the times: there was no room for inclusivity within these fashion shows.

Enough reason for a three-part documentary, which is now online on Videoland. The Rise and Fall of Victoria’s Secret is the name of the documentary, and believe me: you don’t want to miss this. Did you know, for example, that the founder behind Victoria’s Secret is one Les Wexner? He had a goldmine in his hands when he founded Victoria’s Secret, but to say he is a nice guy… No. He counted Jeffrey Epstein among his best friends (this is also discussed extensively in the doc) and is mainly a wealthy, unsympathetic man from Ohio.

This doc really gives a good look behind the scenes of this lingerie brand, and you get to see a very different side than those glamorous fashion shows. That secret of Victoria’s Secret is definitely out in the open and it ain’t pretty. But it’s definitely worth a watch.
