That ‘70s Show is officially coming back to Netflix

that 70s show

Just a quick confession: I was never really a fan of That ‘70s Show. I was quite biased, as I had never watched an episode and had already decided that I didn't like it. But then Comedy Central decided to repeat it endlessly, and at some point, I didn't really have a choice anymore. And yes, you guessed it: I actually found it quite a fun series. And quite confronting, as the first episode dates back to 1998. So it's time for a reboot. That's of course great news, but I do feel a bit old: it's going to be called The ‘90s Show.

In other words: the years of my own youth (I was born in 1989). What I'm hoping for: lots of hits from the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, platform shoes, and terribly ugly makeup. Sounds delightful, especially since almost the entire cast is returning. WHUT. Unfortunately, they won't be the main cast, but they will definitely be seen multiple times. Every cast member is there (including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis), except for Danny Masterson. This actor (who is also affiliated with the Church of Scientology) has multiple allegations against him for sexual violence; his case will be heard on August 29 of this year.

Nice: it seems that we will also see the well-known basement again, with a ‘90s twist. Not much is known about the further plot yet, although there are rumors that Leia will play a big role, in other words, the daughter of Eric and Donna. She visits her grandparents in the summer (hence the return of the basement) and makes a lot of new friends. Honestly, this sounds pretty good, right?
