Forget the snack board, here is the dim sum board

Dim Sum board

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: Forget the snack board, here is the dim sum board.

One of the trends from last year that I’d like to carry over to this year? The everything-on-a-board trend. From boards filled with fries and sauces to the hot chocolate board; bring it on!

It’s almost impossible that you’ve missed it, but everything on boards is hot. And for everyone who is new to this concept, the following step-by-step plan says more than enough. Grab a large board and choose a food theme. Think of sandwiches, tacos, or pancakes, for example. Put everything that comes to mind when thinking of this theme on the board and voilà: a spectacle on the table.

Dim sum on the board
But now… the new favorite? That’s the dim sum board, filled with goodies from the Asian kitchen. Dim sum are small bites and can be anything. I prefer to fill it with different types of gyozas (vegetable and meat), dumplings, mini bao buns, and spring rolls, and of course bowls of fried rice. Do you have something else that is your favorite dim sum? Throw it on that board! And… Don’t forget the soy sauce and wasabi.

Excessively delicious, right? Are you thinking now: whoa, this is just a bit too much of a good thing? A mini cheese and charcuterie board can always work too.
