Why I am a fan of Action

I seriously think Action is one of the most fantastic stores on earth. I undoubtedly inherited my love for this chain from my grandmother, who has filled her entire house with Action items and always proudly tells how cheap each item was. Last weekend, I found myself in this true paradise again to get paint for my walls. With a mission to really only get paint this time, I left with two bags full of trinkets that I absolutely didn't need but couldn't resist. The typical ‘live, laugh, love’ tiles that are prominently displayed on the shelves of Action all year round, I just let pass by.
Are you reading this and have you never set foot in Action? Then you really need to change that for the following reasons:
1. They have EVERYTHING
I'm not exaggerating: they really have everything at Action. Before I even put the paintbrushes in my basket, I walked past the shelf with air mattresses and tents. You can imagine that this came in handy with the upcoming festival season. This is exactly the reason why you always leave here with so many items, because they have everything a person could wish for in this one store. And for inexplicable reasons, the items you need are always next to each other on the shelves. Coincidence does not exist, dear people.
2. Everything is cheap
Every time I'm amazed at how incredibly cheap Action is. How is this possible? The chain buys huge loads of products from China, which allows them to offer such low prices. Additionally, they claim to be a frugal organization because they hardly spend any money on advertising. And that indeed seems to be the case, because let's be honest: a coat rack for six euros? You're robbing your own wallet if you don't get that.
3. Save money
At Action, they sell many products from well-known brands for a pittance. So you really save a lot of money by doing your shopping here. Where you pay full price for a brand name at other stores, here you pay
for the same quality the price of a private label. Think of makeup remover, toothpaste, laundry detergent, mascaras, and so on. Super, right?
4. They have the best candy
The assortment of sweets here is really much better than in the supermarket. Besides the fact that they sell very different types of candy (like twister lollipops), it often comes in those nice large packages. I always take one of those gigantic tubs of Haribo with blue smurfs. Oh, and the Kinder Bueno is also much cheaper here. Furthermore, I'm not at all obsessed with candy. But one thing is for sure: Action is the ideal place to stock up on your candy supply.
5. You leave with all sorts of gadgets
Besides the fact that you can score countless handy items at Action, they also have plenty of useless gadgets you didn't even know existed. Yet you want to have them all. Think of mini speakers hanging from a keychain or an inflatable flamingo. In short: you find all sorts of great knick-knacks here, making it a top store for gifts.
6. Action makes you want to DIY
At least I do, you know. During a stroll through Action, I always suddenly feel like giving everything a makeover. Decking for ten euros? Well, then I'm going to renovate my balcony. Paint for three euros? That bedroom could use some attention too. My hands always start itching.
7. It's a party to wander around
In this store, I can wander around for hours without getting bored for a moment. A trip to Action is actually just a really fun activity. Golden tip: always go alone.
