See: Netflix is coming out with a Korean version of La Casa de Papel

Before my Netflix addiction, I honestly wasn't really open to a movie or series in another language. Superficial, I know, but I immediately had the idea that I wouldn't be able to keep my attention on it. Well, that's really a thing of the past thanks to series like La Casa de Papel and Squid Game. The latter is the only South Korean series I've seen so far, and it has set the bar high.
But the Korean series that is coming to Netflix now will be able to handle that; it will be their own version of La Casa de Papel. How cool does that sound? The storyline is already known and I don't want to cheer too early, but I think this might sound even better than the original Spanish version.
North and South Korea are on the brink of unification, and therefore they are introducing a Unified Currency. A currency that both countries will use to pay, in order to ensure a stable economy between the two countries. But unfortunately, it turns out that this is not true; this Unified Currency only creates more inequality, as the rich are only getting richer.
Tokyo, a former soldier from the north, is part of a group of thieves who decide to do something about this inequality. El Profesor, the mastermind behind their operation, helps them with that. The plan: to steal the money that doesn't even exist yet. Various high powers from North and South Korea are standing in their way. That promises to be quite a spectacle.
Check the teaser below. Honestly: it looks pretty good, right? A much better option than binge-watching La Casa de Papel again. Starting June 24, the series will be online on Netflix, so just a month of waiting.
