Marie Méro, a super cute Belgian fashion brand

May in Marie Méro outfits

Cross the border to the south of the country and you feel like you're in another world. Here, one drinks a glass of prosecco at the Sunday brunch, goes to the hairdresser every week, and everything can just be a bit more luxurious and eye-catching.

Marie Méro is again a new favorite that made our fashion hearts skip a beat. And for many reasons.

1. It is completely Belgian
It is designed, conceived, and made in Belgium. The first piece is even made entirely by hand by the seamstresses. Fabrics are brought to Belgium so that all employees can test them. Only when a garment passes the full quality check is it worthy of Marie Méro.

2. They have amazing faux leather items
Leather is a hit this autumn/winter, but it's not animal-friendly. So we choose faux fur and faux leather, of which Marie Méro has really beautiful items. I was at Koffietijd on Wednesday and there Quinty Trustfull wore a beautiful skirt from the Belgian brand.

3. Their knitting techniques
And especially the ones where they incorporate jacquard prints into their knits. There are knitwear dresses (they call them ‘kleedjes’, which I find so charming), but of course also sweaters.

4. Queen Mathilde is a fan
And what's good enough for Mathilde...

I chose a dark blue classic dress. Small collar, perfect sleeve, length just above the knee. Ideal for this beginning autumn and later with a sturdy tights underneath, it will be just lovely.

Leopard print dress. Sexy, feminine, and elegant. A dress that you can wear to work with a leather jacket over it and then style for a glamorous party.

Woolen trousersknitted sweater and ecru blouse. Green is the color of this season and these mottled pants fit like pajamas but have a lovely French look. The knitted sweater goes very well with jeans or such a nice faux leather skirt.
