Hydrafacial Deluxe wieke treatment salon

This year, my resolution was to do more self-care. So the good creams were stocked, I will never again leave home without SPF and the search for the very best facial treatment for my skin started. And I think I found it. This gave my skin such a beautiful glow, and I really noticed a difference. My skin really did look so much better (and I had been suffering from a lot of blemishes lately) because the treatment was really tailored to what I needed. And well, if it's good enough for Sofia Vergara, Kate Winslet and Charlize Theron, then it's good enough for me.

I was at the Joost Kroon Clinic in Amsterdam-Zuid (which by the way was a really wonderful clinic where they also do other treatments), and the treatment I took was the Hydrafacial Deluxe. Before the treatment started, I was given a scan to see how good my skin was. Very interesting and, to be honest, I was quite scared of the results, but they were not too bad. In terms of sun damage, I have not done very well in my 32 years on this planet, but I am well on my way to not making things worse.

The Hydrafacial Deluxe signature treatment consists of three steps of 30 minutes each, and after that you can still choose a booster to suit your skin. In addition, the last 15 minutes consists of ultimate relaxation under an LED lamp, something I really loved. My head was pretty red when I went back out, but that promised glow was clearly visible the next morning.

Those three steps, by the way, consist of the following:

  1. Cleansing and exfoliating the skin
  2. Removing impurities and dead skin cells
  3. Moisturising and caring for the skin

Funny: I got to see the residue from step two afterwards and oh boy... That was quite a lot, mind you.

The treatment is not cheap (between 175 and 200 euros a time), but I found it seriously more than worth it because I really saw a difference, they are clearly knowledgeable there and because the treatment can be customised exactly for your skin. Yes, I'm going again next month. Looking forward to it already. Investing in self-care is so 2022.
