Instagram has a new feature again
TikTok is becoming more and more popular, and Instagram is of course noticing that as well. They previously introduced their Reels feature, which are basically just TikTok videos, but on Instagram. And now they are introducing a new feature that will be very familiar to TikTok users: you can ‘pin’ three posts to your profile, so they always stay at the top. Exactly: just like you can on TikTok.
It's a nice feature in itself, which should now be available worldwide. I immediately checked my app, but no. Updating my app, still nothing. Well. If it’s not possible for you yet either: you’re not alone, but it’s probably coming.
By the way, that's not the only new thing, but it is the biggest change. Furthermore, Reels can now be up to 90 seconds long and you can import your own audio into Reels. There are also ‘interactive stickers’ that you can now place in your Reels. And that's surprising, because TikTok doesn't have that. Well, they had to put something original in there.
But hey, better well stolen than poorly invented, so I understand that they let TikTok do the work and just copy it. What I don't understand is that they still haven't changed that feed, or am I the only one whose feed only consists of suggested Reels? I really think Instagram has become a lot less cool because of that. If you have tips for this, let me know.
