Spring is here and as far as we're concerned, that calls for dusting off our favorite column: the Look of the Day. So there I was, on what was truly the first beautiful spring day with a rack full of delights at my disposal. For one day, sure, but still. And everyone who knows me a little knows that I definitely snagged a few items, because nothing is more delightful than shopping from the fashion closet.

Anyway, I'm wearing a dress by La DoubleJ. That sounds French, but it's actually very Italian. They also have swimwear and even tableware and home wear, but I'm especially in love with their floor-length dresses. If someone asks you what ‘barefoot elegance’ really means, just wave a photo of this dress. A sandal underneath and you're the beauty of the beach, and with heels and a hat, you glide effortlessly to a wedding party. And okay, they're not cheap, but the fabric, the fit, the drape, the prints, and the quality are worth so much more.

Where does this gem come from? From Pauw Amsterdam of course, which I got again at Pauw Heemstede. And if you think: wow, what a nice beach club, then I say: you're right. It's Republiek in Bloemendaal and the most stylish and cozy beach tent in the country, if you ask me.
