Do you already know the Hamburrito?

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: the Hamburrito from Taco Mundo.

Before I get too enthusiastic about this, I must confess something: I'm not really a big fan of Mexican food. Now, I've never been to Mexico, so yes, I do believe it's probably a lot tastier there than here in the Netherlands. And of course: tips for nice Mexican restaurants to prove me wrong are more than welcome. But so far, you just don't make me very happy with it.

What does make me very happy are hamburgers. I consider myself one of the biggest McDonald's fans out there, but I also love non-fast food burgers. At the barbecue, or at one of the Amsterdam locations of Cannibale Royale… Or at Taco Mundo. Whut?

Hamburgers meets Mexican food
From now on, I can easily tell my friends that we can order Mexican that evening (because until now I've always been medium enthusiastic about it); they can choose the Mexican dishes, I'll go for the Hamburrito. Smooth name as well. But we do have to order from Taco Mundo, because that's where this gem is currently on the menu.

The Hamburrito consists of a (according to them) ‘juicy beef burger’. In this tortilla, there are also melted cheese, jalapeños, Salsa Mexicana, red onion, and coriander. I'm going to try it, how about you? Oh, and for the enthusiasts: it's also available in a grilled chicken variant.
