Part 2: 20 x things we say now that the sun is shining again

As typical Dutch people, we were just as afraid that after the sunny month of March we wouldn't get any warm days anymore. But fortunately, nothing could be further from the truth, because I'm happily typing this from the beach and in the sun. Yes, yes, I am also a typical Dutch person who rushes to the beach at the first sunny day. So I thought it was high time for some typical sayings that we will hear plenty of in the coming days.

1. ‘Isn't this weather lovely?’

2. ‘Shall we stop working a bit earlier?’

3. ‘Planning a day at Zandvoort or Bloemendaal?’

4. ‘Shall we go eat at Republiek?’

5. ‘Let's just move CORE40 then?’

6. ‘The sun really makes people happier.’

7. ‘Summer clothes are just so much more fun?’

8. ‘The sun really makes people more attractive, right?’

9.  ‘Do we know anyone with a boat?’

10. ‘Shall we have a pitcher of sangria somewhere?’

11. ‘I never know what to do when it's so warm in the Netherlands.’

12. ‘I get so restless from this nice weather.’

13. ‘Brown-without-sun has gone a bit wrong on my feet.’

14. ‘Let's have a barbecue in Vondel tonight.’

15. ‘Shall we take a morning dip at the IJ?’

16. ‘Sports or grab a terrace?’

17. ‘Shall we go tanning on your balcony?’

18. ‘Pff, it is really very hot, isn't it?’

19. ‘This heat is unbearable if you live in the city.’

20. ‘I secretly also look forward to those cozy winter months again.’
