Your relationship always succeeds if you just follow the 2-2-2 rule

Yes yes, you are happy in love. You have a long relationship and it's all nice, fun, and fine. But yes. How do you keep it spicy in bed? How do you create tension and excitement and how do you combat that routine? According to some, it's very simple: follow the 2-2-2 rule. The hype is going viral on TikTok. What does that rule entail? Every two weeks, you go out together for an evening, every two months you try to get away for a night, and every two years you go on vacation together. Without kids, without other family members, without friends. Just together, to keep discovering each other.
It's a simple method to see if you are doing enough fun things together. Some find going out together every two weeks a lot, but yes, on the other hand: you have to keep investing in your love. Get dressed up, put on some nice clothes, and boom, a bottle of wine on the table. That really works better than just hanging out in your pajamas on the couch and both watching your own series. What receives a lot of criticism on social media is the cost. ‘How much do you have to earn if you want to go out to dinner together so often and go to a hotel AND still go on vacation?’ Sure, money is a thing. But it doesn't have to be expensive, it's what you make of it. You can also camp and be romantic in a tent, right? Costs practically nothing and still provides a relationship boost.
The goal is indeed beautiful: keep track of how often you do something together. Especially if you have children, it can easily slip by, right? Take your moments together and if things are good between you, it feels really nice and relaxed after that quality time together. Then you can put on your XL pajamas and flop on the couch after such a date night.
