Science says: drinking a glass of water before going to sleep helps you lose weight

People with an endless morning and evening routine I find quite exhausting. Well, I’m actually mostly jealous because I’m not disciplined enough for these kinds of scenes myself. Recently, I’ve started drinking a glass of water every morning right after waking up, so I feel like I have some sort of ritual. This action isn’t too complicated, so it’s easy to maintain for people like me. That glass of water nicely ensures that my dehydration is immediately replenished and that I start my day without a headache. Not bad at all, this short but very powerful morning routine of mine.
Now it turns out that I can apply exactly the same routine for the evening. How easy is that? There are also a lot of health benefits to drinking a glass of water before going to sleep. Water acts as a natural calorie burner because it increases your metabolism. Additionally, your body warms up the water you drink, which means you burn even more calories. In other words: during your sleep, your body will be hard at work burning calories thanks to this glass of water. Losing weight while you sleep? That sounds like a dream.
Moreover, it helps you fall asleep better. A glass of water ensures that your muscles, joints, hormones, and energy remain balanced. This helps your body relax, allowing you to fall asleep nicely and wake up refreshed in the morning.
Finally, that little glass before going to sleep ensures (just like with the morning routine) that the fluid loss in your body is replenished. Well, I only see benefits, assuming you don’t have to pee extra at night. So are you looking for a morning and evening routine that is easy to maintain? Then a glass of water isn’t such a crazy idea after all.
