This would really be my biggest fear ever if I were a celebrity: falling flat on your face in front of thousands of people. Jennifer Lawrence did it once at the Oscars, took it very lightly and just laughed it off. I found it admirable, you know; I would probably burst into tears. There you are in the most beautiful dress and the only thing going through your mind is: don't fall, don't fall, DON'T FALL. And boom, there you are.

Yesterday it happened to Selena Gomez, on the red carpet at the SAG Awards. And just like Jennifer Lawrence could laugh it off easily, that went a bit less smoothly for Selena. She was quickly helped up and left the red carpet while she was (probably) cursing herself very hard. One shoe was already on the ground and for convenience, she just took off the other one too, because it's much easier to walk without one heel on and one off.

Selena didn't have much time to recover from the fall, because she still had to present an award that evening. You're still left with that fall fresh in your memory; I would spontaneously have a panic attack, but Selena managed to solve it perfectly. Namely: screw those heels. They didn't do you any good, get rid of them. And there she came on stage, barefoot. Honestly: best solution there is, right? And also just without any shame (rightly so). She presented the award together with Martin Short and apparently that's the duo you never knew we needed. My girl crush on Selena has been reignited since yesterday.
