Wow: this airplane is a hotel that will never land for 5000 guests

Plane and hotel in one

Some people really seem to be living in the year 2500, I have the idea. While I still find it exciting to step onto a plane, people are already thinking light-years ahead. Because why is a plane only a means to get you from point A to B? Why isn't the plane just your entire journey AND destination? Hashem Al-Ghaili thought that was an excellent plan and designed the Sky Cruise — a flying hotel that never needs to land and has space for 5000 passengers.

Uh, how then? That was at least my first thought after reading about this gigantic object. Because just check the photos: if this thing is actually going to be built, it is really an intensely large object. And it doesn't even need to land, thanks to the twenty nuclear-powered engines. I hope that ‘never landing’ is purely theoretical, because I assume those 5000 passengers will want to be back on solid ground at some point.

Well... Al-Ghaili sees that a bit differently. His plan is that passengers will be dropped in the air at this Sky Cruise, so it actually never has to touch the ground. I find that really intensely exciting, because it will be flying over the earth at a rapid pace. Any necessary repairs will also be carried out in the air.

In addition to hotel rooms for all these guests, there will also be swimming pools on board, gyms, cinemas, and a shopping mall. Is this the new way of traveling? Are people with wanderlust now going to travel the world like this? I find it quite exciting.
