Believe us: this will be the new summer drink

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: the new summer drink
Do you know kombucha? The fermented drink has been on the rise for a while now because it is said to have health-promoting properties. Not everyone is a fan, but if you're looking for a drink with a bit of fizz that isn't necessarily super sweet, Jun might just be something for you.
Jun is also a fermented drink like kombucha, but based on green tea and honey instead of black tea and sugar. There are a few more differences, and it could very well be that this is the next new non-alcoholic drink that becomes trendy.
Low/no
Homemade kombucha is not completely alcohol-free, and homemade Jun isn't either. Due to the fermentation process, there is natural alcohol in it, but you really have to drink a lot of kombucha to get drunk from it. Many of the kombuchas that are now commercially available, such as Butcha from among others Samuel Levie, contain less than 0.5 percent alcohol. So with a bit of goodwill, they can still be seen as an alternative to soft drinks.
Subtle flavor
And the taste? Jun is known to be a bit more delicate and subtle in flavor than kombucha, which some find a bit vinegary. Sweeter, softer tones from the honey, and in terms of mouthfeel, a bit more fizz than kombucha.
