the week of Lilian Brijl
A very good morning, what a bloody hot but oh so delightful summer week we’ve had together, right? And aside from the weather, it has definitely become one for the books for me. Because yes: last week I hit the big three-O. I organized a dinner for the (if you ask me) forty most fun guests in the world, went to visit a baby (including a super cute baby gift; tip for you), my own ‘baby’ suddenly officially evolved into a toddler in his new toddler bed, I spent as much time as possible on the beach in Scheveningen and dined at the new Miss Jones, where you definitely want to eat at least once. I’ll take you along and share my tips. Love, Lil.

Baby visit
Maybe you still remember her, our Annabelle. She has given birth to baby Moos. So sweet, so small and especially so beautiful to see her as a mom. I bought her two gifts that I want to recommend to you today because they are beautiful, original, affordable AND everlasting. First up, the BDAY Rocks from Rockstyle. Beautiful stones in a glass jar with a text tailored to the birth date. Number 2: a personalized keepsake box from Kidsdeco with zodiac sign, name, icon or personal message.

Glass keepsake box, €29.99 Kidsdeco
BDAY Rocks, €13.50 Rockstyle

The big three-O
Oh my, there it was suddenly: the big three-O. I decided to throw a party that I would never want to forget. And guess what? With the most beautiful table styling thanks to for a moment. Here you can really rent the most beautiful themes that will dress your table – from handmade dishes and colored glasses to vases and candlesticks – in the most beautiful way. I chose the theme 'terra rosa', so beautiful., Mario e Luigi the mobile pizza maker, a DIY self-service bar and the sweetest gifts and speeches, it worked out! Everyone enjoyed to the max.

PS. Do you also want to organize a B-day dinner? Read here my 30 do’s and don’ts for an unforgettable (big three-O) party.

Lilian Brijl 30th birthday party

Beach spot
Both during the day and in the evening, I find Barbarossa one of the nicest places to sit as soon as the sun shines. The vibe is just chill, there’s super delicious food (burrata for the win), AIX rosé, a playground for the kids and in the evening there are also parties. If you go during the day, definitely grab one of those beach beds under a striped umbrella, because they are heavenly.

Sentimental Sandy
Yes, sentimental Sandy is back in the house: Enzo is almost two, incredibly saying no and with his new bed from Petite Amélie he is really no longer a baby. A toddler is what he is and just for that reason, his mother can cry all week long. Just stop it with me. He even has his own pillow and duvet. I mean: meh. And for everyone with a little one on the way: Enzo’s most beautiful crib is for sale. I bought it at Archive Store and it’s from the brand Bermbach. Are you interested? Miss Jones
Imagine, you’re in Voorburg soon and you don’t know where you’re going to have lunch or dinner. Then I have it for you: the tip of all tips. Enter: Miss Jones. Not only because of the interior inside AND outside, but especially because of what you came for: the food. From Japanese signatures, next level cocktails to the tastiest pretty fancy bites to share, this is one for your must-visit list.
