Questions I have after Too Hot To Handle

Yes people, it was that time again. I was so incredibly excited because the third season of Too Hot To Handle was online that I of course immediately started watching that evening... And so I actually didn't stop anymore. Long story short: I finished it. And I have questions. Questions that I want answers to, but that I probably won't get.

This season, something changed compared to the previous two seasons: the prize money. It was doubled, so in total there was 200,000 dollars to win. Side note: the ‘fines’ were also doubled. And this is why I'm completely having an error and why I'm doubting whether to just sign up.

Because when the prize money was ‘only’ 100,000 dollars, I already thought it was a great deal. How long without sex and no kissing? A week? Totally fine. But 200,000 dollars?! Hallelujah, sign me up. I don't know if it's just me, but it really doesn't seem that hard to hold back a little when you know there's so much money at stake. And if you really like each other, then it will be fine after the filming, right?

Of course, they do cast people for this, you know — everyone is of course shouting during their intro that they only want sex and can't go a week, day, hour without it. But that little word ‘can’ is bothering me. Because of course you can. You can definitely survive a week without sex. To be honest, I just think that's a bit of acting.

But then my problem number two with the show. They just go for it. Spoiler: this season more than the previous seasons. In season 1, it was Francesca and Harry who constantly broke the rules, but they still had something cute, plus they did stick to the rules in the suite. But this season... Pff, I would be completely done with my co-stars within a day. How rude is it that you ruin the prize money for others because you can't control yourself? I have some thoughts on that.

And that Holly and Nathan can just stay until the end: well, come on. Lana has become tame. The Lana from the previous two seasons would have kicked those two out — rightly so — a long time ago, let alone that they stood in the finale with Harry and Beaux. They should have been sent home in episode 2. I said what I said.

So I can (as you might notice) get really worked up about these kinds of shows because I really don't understand it. It's delicious TV and I of course binge-watched the episodes in one go, but now I feel a bit robbed of 200,000 dollars. I can easily do this. Netflix, count me in for season 4.
