Why you want to add the trampoline to your workout routine

The trampoline is back in style. At least, if we are to believe Kourtney Kardashian. This morning, I read all about the ins and outs of the trampoline on her platform Poosh and why we can't help but add this to our workout routine. It can't be a coincidence that I recently saw a jump studio pop up on ClassPass among my gyms. This is a sign from the universe.

Well, I'm already convinced and I'm happy to test this out for you, because there are quite a few benefits to a trampoline workout. Not only do you work on your physical condition, but it also has a positive impact on your mood. Sounds good, right? It seems to me a lot more entertaining than a yoga class.

Curious about all the benefits of this workout? I've listed them for you below. Of course, I'll give a detailed review after my first class.

It doesn't feel like exercising
I'm absolutely not a fan of exercising, but this seems to be the least terrible workout of them all. Okay, I shouldn't celebrate too early.

Good for your condition and weight
Due to gravity, your body weight is heavier while jumping, which means you burn more calories. This workout is definitely effective.

Good for your circulation and immune system
Jumping on a trampoline stimulates the lymphatic system. This helps you eliminate fluids (and waste) faster, ultimately leading to a better immune system.

Low risk of injuries
Your joints are not overstrained while jumping, which means this workout causes far fewer injuries than, for example, running. This has everything to do with gravity, which helps protect your bones.

Good for your mood
Last but not least: trampoline jumping improves our mood. The production of endorphins and happiness hormones while jumping truly makes you happier. This workout seems too good to be true?

Are you not jumping (get it?) to go to such a group class? Then you can also just order a small trampoline for home. It's a bit of an investment (between 50 and 100 euros), but then you have something. How often should you train to notice a difference? Fortunately, it's quite manageable: just a quarter of an hour every day. That should be doable, right?
