7 x typical Monday irritations

That Monday is a bad day for many people, I don't need to tell you that. But in this case, I emphasize it again. Perhaps it comforts you to know that you are not the only one starting this week grumpily, and therefore I share an optimistic list of seven Monday irritations. Hang in there today!

1. You always sleep poorly on Sunday
And so you always wake up tired on Monday. Could it have to do with the tension for a new week? I know for sure that I can't sleep a wink on Sunday night, which makes me even more restless in bed. But well, you might as well surrender to it and accept that the week really starts on Tuesday.

2. People are unfriendly
So you are really not the only one with a Monday dip, and you can tell. People just seem to be really unfriendly on this day. Last Monday, I experienced twice that someone couldn't even keep that gate open in the tram, causing it to slam against my stomach the first time and against my laptop the second time. You would think it costs zero extra effort to keep that gate open for the person behind you? Well, apparently that's not in the cards on Monday.

3. Murphy's Law
On Monday, something always goes absolutely not according to plan. You spill coffee on your laptop, which suddenly costs you two hours of your day. Or you realize that your contact lenses are out. Then you find yourself at the drugstore with foggy glasses (because of that cap) to buy new ones, but you actually have no time for that. Just assume that there will be blockages on Monday, in other words: ‘Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.’ – Edward A. Murphy

4. You didn't manage to exercise
Monday is the day to start exercising, meditating, and eating healthy. But well, it's also the day when everything goes wrong, including your resolutions. Better not to claim that you will start a new lifestyle on Monday from now on.

5. Everything feels like a chore
Things that we take for granted on any other day of the week suddenly feel incredibly heavy on Monday. You feel like you are overworking and don't even have time to do groceries. Complaining is also part of Monday.

6. Lots of noise
Loading and unloading happens especially on Monday. Every Monday morning, the city is full of trucks and vans going around to load and unload things. But yes, you certainly can't handle that hustle and bustle at the beginning of your week.

7. Your inbox is exploding
New round, new chances, unfortunately, many people think that on Monday. It seems like you receive more emails on this day than ever before. That immediately causes pure panic.
