Here I am again with an incredibly sweet tip for Mother's Day. Hidden in Vijzelstraat is Petit by Sam, a delightful cake shop where you can taste the most delicious (vegan and gluten-free) cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. This is the kind of place you have biked past a hundred times but never realized it was there. Recently, I finally visited for the first time after tasting a delicious chocolate cake at a birthday party. I had to know where that cake came from, and that's how I discovered this gem. You can order large cakes here, but you can also drop by for small cakes and coffee. My favorite is the vanilla cake with lemon curd; it is truly extraordinary. And especially for Mother's Day, you can buy special cakes and brownies here in the coming days. So if you really want to make your mom happy with something delicious, I would definitely recommend paying a visit to Petit by Sam.
