FIRST VEGAN BURGER KING OPENS ITS DOORS IN LISBON

Say wine, snacks or haute cuisine and the gourmands at online food magazine FavorFlav know where to drink, how to eat it and what to cook. This time our cheffies serve you: First vegan Burger King opens its doors in Lisbon

Admittedly, I can imagine that a fast food restaurant doesn't necessarily make it onto your hotspot list during a vacation or city trip. Still, it always feels a bit like part of the experience for me, on the day of arrival or the day of departure. That you don't have time for an elaborate breakfast or lunch, and with different chains, you know exactly what to expect.

But hey, maybe you'll take a little detour to this location when you're in Lisbon. Because this is quite a special establishment with a Dutch touch. Whuuut?

Burger King VS. Lisbon VS. the Vegetarian Butcher
Yep, you read that right: ‘our’ Vegetarian Butcher provides the vegan burgers at this Burger King. And this location of The Home Of The Whopper is even more special because everything on the menu is vegan. EVERYTHING. It's great that Burger King is making enthusiastic strides with this, because in England (Bristol, to be precise) they recently opened one as well.

By the way, it's not just this location where you can get a vegan burger from Burger King and The Vegetarian Butcher, as they also supply to Cologne, Madrid, London, Basel, Geneva, and Costa Rica. And so not yet in the Dutch Burger King! That just can't be — I think we are also due for a vegan location by now.

Where in Lisbon?
You need to be in Belém, where you also happen to find the most delicious Pastel de Nata's. Absolutely not vegan, but incredibly delicious.
