I've never been to Madame Tussauds because I find it really scary. All those wax figures, I really don't understand why people would want to see that. When One Direction was at the height of their popularity, fans went there to hug those figures. To kiss them. Shameless. How gross is that? Now that will (hopefully) be something different post-corona, but still. I find it fascinating.
Especially because those figures nine times out of ten really don't look like the person at all. So you're standing there with a creepy doll in the photo that somewhat resembles your favorite celeb. People pay money for it, but I think it's nightmare material.
The latest example: Billie Eilish. Last week her wax figure was unveiled at the Hollywood Wax Museum. And I don't know who this is, but it is in no way Billie Eilish. What is going wrong here? Those lips are the most off. But — and I might be wrong here — I don't think she has ever had her hair at that length. She actually has it a bit shorter, which is very easy to fix.
The only things that are somewhat correct are the bedroom eyes and the nails. But still, when I see this woman, it's not Billie Eilish. Maybe if you order Billie Eilish on Wish, you'll get this delivered to your home, I'm afraid.
